The following two photos show views of one of two livestock watering troughs situated on Market St., dating back to the early 1800s. The troughs originally were plumbed with yellow-pine pipe. A Georgian lion head decorates the fill pipe. The photos were taken in 2003 before the trough was restored by Birmingham resident Frank Kill in 2004. Mr. Kill is now (2005) restoring the other livestock watering trough.
