Preamble
Since
its founding in 1990, the Tyrone Area Historical Society
has pledged itself to preserving, interpreting, and
encouraging community interest in the unique history of the Tyrone area
to ensure that present and future generations can share in
and understand their rich heritage.
Article I Name
SECTION 1 — The name of this corporation is
TYRONE AREA
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
hereinafter referred to as
the “Society.” The Society is a nonprofit,
educational corporation chartered under the laws of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on May 14,
1993.
SECTION 2 — The official mailing address of the Society shall
be P.O. Box 1850, Tyrone, PA 16686-0102, or such other
locations as the Board of Directors may, from time to
time, determine.
SECTION 3 — The fiscal year of the Society shall run from May
1 through April 30.
